Psychotherapy across the Lifespan means that you are not alone through life's journey which is often met with roadblocks, challenges, and stressors. One of these roadblocks to health is Trauma: a reaction to a stressful event or events; an injury or wound.

Trauma can be described as a wound that is caused by an experience or experiences that results in a negative change in functioning.

For anxiety and depression, Cognitive Therapy and medications are found to be effective; however, people with complex trauma and multiple mental health episodes are harder to treat.

A history of childhood maltreatment and childhood trauma make it imperative to take a "lifespan approach" when treating adults.
